Introducing the VocaBeansTM Application for iPods and iPhones
People that have Aphasia, Autism, Laryngectomy, and other conditions that may affect normal speech processing can now use an inexpensive assitive speech software program running on common handheld devices to help them better communicate.
Each VocaBean bundles a picture and audio together to represent a word that might be difficult for the user to say. The VocaBeans software product contains hundreds of pre-built VocaBeans and allows you to create your own right from your iPod® or iPhone®.
The VocaBeans application has folders for common categories, including People, Places, Food, Things, and Animals, but lets you add new VocaBeans to those categories as you see fit.
For example, if you have Aphasia and have trouble speaking the names of your friends and family, you can add their pictures and a recording of their name to the VocaBeans “People” category.
